Working Principle
 

Most of NEWTEK's container type oxygen generating systems operate based on the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology. In a PSA - based system, there are typically twin zeolite - filled adsorptive towers. Compressed air enters these towers. The zeolite molecular sieves have a strong affinity for nitrogen at room temperature.

 

As the compressed air passes through the molecular sieves in one tower, nitrogen is adsorbed, while oxygen, due to its smaller molecular structure, can more easily penetrate the sieves and is collected as the product gas. When the molecular sieve in one tower becomes saturated with nitrogen, the tower is depressurized to release the adsorbed nitrogen into the atmosphere. Meanwhile, the second tower starts the adsorption process, ensuring a continuous supply of oxygen. A Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is used to precisely control the cyclic operation of the two towers, maintaining a stable oxygen output.
