Generally, tire manufacturers have strict requirements on the purity and pressure of nitrogen because it seriously affects the vulcanization quality of tires.

 

In the entire PSA nitrogen production process, there are three key factors that affect the purity and output of nitrogen:

1. The quality of molecular sieves

2. Valve operating status and switching speed

3. Nitrogen generator filling technology and compaction technology

PSA is a gas separation technology that developed rapidly abroad in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and China began to introduce it in the late 1980s. The principle is to separate the gas mixture by using the difference in the "adsorption" performance of molecular sieves for different gas molecules under the same pressure. It uses air as raw material and uses a high-efficiency and highly selective solid adsorbent (molecular sieve) to selectively adsorb nitrogen and oxygen, separate nitrogen and oxygen in the air, and use double towers to produce nitrogen in turn to ensure continuous nitrogen supply.

 

NEWTEK uses a 700Nm3/h double-tower PSA nitrogen generator, and old customers have basically used it continuously for about 10 years. The main component of molecular sieve is carbon. After long-term adsorption and emission, the oil and impurities in the air will block the pore size, and its adsorption capacity will continue to decline over time. The life of the general molecular sieve is 8 to 10 years. The quality of the molecular sieve is an important factor affecting the nitrogen production capacity. The second is the switching speed and sealing effect of the valve, which directly affects the purity of the nitrogen.
