How does psa in oxygen plant work?
Operation process:
1.The air is compressed after pretreatment (removal of impurities and moisture).
The compressed air enters the PSA tower, the nitrogen is captured by the adsorbent, and the oxygen is separated and output.
2. Desorption stage: adsorbent regeneration
Pressure release: The adsorbent is regenerated by reducing the pressure in the tower (close to normal pressure).
Nitrogen discharge: The adsorbed nitrogen is released from the adsorbent at low pressure and discharged from the system.
3. Alternating operation: continuous oxygen supply
PSA systems are usually equipped with two adsorption towers (or more):
One tower generates oxygen during the adsorption phase;
The other tower regenerates the adsorbent during the desorption phase.
This alternating operation ensures continuous production of oxygen.
