Working principle of oxygen gas generation plant
The system operates on the principle of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA), utilizing the different adsorption affinities of nitrogen and oxygen on zeolite molecular sieves under varying pressure conditions. Compressed air, ranging from 0.3 MPa to 0.55 MPa, first passes through an air pretreatment system that removes contaminants like oil, dust, and moisture. This clean air then enters the adsorption tower, where nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and residual water are selectively adsorbed by the zeolite molecular sieve, allowing oxygen to flow through. Once the adsorbent reaches its saturation point, the system initiates a pressure reduction to atmospheric levels, which causes the nitrogen and other impurities to desorb and be expelled. This continuous cycle of adsorption and desorption ensures a steady supply of oxygen with a purity of 93%±3%, providing a reliable, on-demand oxygen source for various applications in healthcare, industry, and research.
